A seasoned professional with extensive experience in both tech and political news media, Andrew Friedman currently serves as a Partner Lead on Google’s US Elections team. In this role, he collaborates closely with campaigns, committees, and agencies, leveraging Google’s products to optimize their persuasion and fundraising efforts. He’s worked with Presidential, Senate, House, and Gubernatorial campaigns to shape their digital strategy to reach voters and drive results.
Andrew joined Google after spending over a decade in the news media sector, where he held significant roles at both POLITICO and Axios. During his time at POLITICO, he was a driving force behind the successful implementation of essential features for the renowned POLITICO Pro subscription service. His expertise further developed as he managed strategic advertising partnerships with Fortune 100 companies, advocacy coalitions, and leading industry trade associations at both organizations, underscoring his capability to drive growth and build high-value relationships.
When he’s not navigating the complexities of the digital election space, you can find him cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals or enjoying a round of golf on the weekend. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Indiana University and remains a forever optimist that they will one day return to basketball glory. Andrew lives in the DC suburbs with his wife and daughter.
