About Ethan Roeder
Ethan’s career spans over twenty years of campaigns and civic data. Ethan was Director of Data for the Obama campaigns in 2008 and 2012, partnered with Google in 2010 to create the first comprehensive database of polling locations, and was Executive Director of the New Organizing Institute, a DC-based non-profit that trained progressive organizers on the use of emerging technologies until its merger with Wellstone Action in 2015.
Ethan is currently the Chief Innovation Officer at Forward Majority, an organization focused on flipping state legislative chambers to Democratic control. Ethan’s writing has been published in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Cook Political Report. Ethan lives in Baltimore with an overly enthusiastic dog and an incontinent cat.
