About Kelly Miller
Kelly Miller serves as a Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Communications practice – the largest cyber-specialized comms team in the world. Kellyoffers communications support to organizations spanning various industries, particularly during crises such as cybersecurity breaches, data privacy incidents, investigations, lawsuits, and other public scrutiny. Her track record includes leading communications responses for some of the most high-profile and sensitive data breaches, orchestrating preparedness programs for large-scale organizations anticipating data privacy challenges, navigating sensitive national privacy debates with top-tier press outlets, and propelling emerging brands into influential players in federal cybersecurity.
Based in Washington, D.C., Kelly leverages her background in technology and telecom policy to aid organizations in navigating and preempting crises. Kelly’s contributions have garnered recognition, including being honored as a Trailblazer in Ragan’s Top Women in Communications Awards, named a DCA Live Power Woman in Tech, recognized by DC Inno’s 50 on Fire, and acknowledged as a finalist in the Cross-Segment Award at FTI.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Kelly served as vice president at Banner Public Affairs, where she led technology client accounts and founded the firm’s startup practice. During her tenure, she provided trusted counsel and steered campaigns on issues including encryption and law enforcement, FCC spectrum allocation disputes and public health technology initiatives. In addition to working with clients in technology and IT, she led accounts in the aerospace and defense sector with a focus on space and intelligence systems. Kelly commenced her career on the policy communications team for CTIA the wireless association.
